At Cody French Bulldogs, your puppy’s health, safety, and long-term well-being are our highest priorities. We proudly stand behind every French Bulldog we raise and provide a transparent, responsible, and comprehensive Health Guarantee to protect both you and your new companion.
This policy outlines what we guarantee, what we cover, and what we expect from new owners to ensure your puppy lives a happy and healthy life.
🩺 1. Our Health Guarantee
All puppies from Cody French Bulldogs come with the following protections:
✔ 1-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
Your puppy is guaranteed free from life-threatening congenital or hereditary conditions for one (1) full year from the date of purchase.
This includes:
- Severe heart defects (life-impacting)
- Organ dysfunction caused by genetic issues
- Severe hip or structural defects
- Serious neurological or hereditary disorders
If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a life-threatening genetic condition within the guarantee period, we will provide a replacement puppy of equal value at the earliest availability.
🩺 2. Veterinary Health Check Before Adoption
Every puppy is examined by a licensed veterinarian before leaving our care.
You will receive:
- A full vet health certificate
- Vaccination & deworming records
- Any necessary medical notes
- Microchip information (optional)
We guarantee your puppy leaves our home in good health to the best of our knowledge.
🐶 3. Buyer’s Responsibility After Adoption
To maintain this Health Guarantee, buyers must:
✔ Schedule a vet examination
Your puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery or pickup.
✔ Follow recommended care
This includes:
- Required vaccinations
- Deworming
- Proper nutrition
- Safe environment
- Appropriate exercise and activity levels
✔ Provide proper care
The guarantee becomes void if the puppy suffers from:
- Neglect
- Abuse
- Malnutrition
- Injury
- Failure to provide timely veterinary care
❌ 4. Conditions Not Covered
While we strive to raise the healthiest Frenchies possible, certain issues are not covered due to their common occurrence in the breed:
- Mild respiratory issues typical in brachycephalic breeds
- Stenotic nares that do not impede breathing
- Allergies (food or environmental)
- Minor skin conditions
- Internal/external parasites treatable with medication
- Hernias that are easily correctable
- Ear infections
- Cherry eye
- Stress-related diarrhea
- Heat sensitivity common in French Bulldogs
These conditions are generally manageable and do not pose life-threatening concerns.
🤝 5. Replacement Puppy Policy
If your puppy is diagnosed with a life-threatening hereditary defect, you will receive:
✔ A replacement puppy of equal value
— when available — after receiving:
- A written diagnosis from two licensed veterinarians
- Medical documentation confirming the condition is genetic
✔ No cash refunds
We provide a replacement puppy, not money refunds, to ensure fairness, protection, and ethical breeding standards.
🧬 6. Spay/Neuter Agreement (Optional)
Unless purchasing breeding rights, all puppies are sold as pets only.
We may require:
- A spay/neuter agreement
- Completion by a recommended age
- Proof of procedure for guarantee validity
This prevents irresponsible breeding and protects French Bulldog bloodlines.
🐕🦺 7. Lifetime Support
Every family who adopts from Cody French Bulldogs receives lifetime breeder support, including help with:
- Training & behavior
- Nutrition guidance
- Grooming tips
- Health questions
- Frenchie-specific care
- Emergency advice when possible
We remain available to assist you throughout your Frenchie’s life.
📝 8. Acceptance of Policy
By adopting a puppy from Cody French Bulldogs, you acknowledge and agree to this Health Guarantee Policy. This ensures transparency and mutual responsibility between breeder and buyer.
